Meet the CFO
President
Howard Feldenkris
Howard has served in a variety of financial leadership roles during his extensive career. Howard brings an orientation of creating shareholder value through the strategic and annual business planning processes. He has successfully used the planning process to drive improved profitability and cash flow, build stronger company leadership teams, grow sales through organic and acquisitive growth, and lead companies through substantial liquidity events. He is a senior executive sought out not only for his sound financial expertise, but also for his strong operational experience, and people leadership skills.
Howard is currently the President of Feldenkris CFO Services, a firm that provides fractional and project CFO services to privately held companies in the middle market.
Howard most recently was the CFO of Alacriant, Inc. a leading metal fabrication company located in Streetsboro, Ohio. He served as a key member of the leadership team, improving operational performance and financial reporting, while building improved banking relationships with a new bank group. He remains engaged with the Alacriant management team, currently serving in the capacity of Fractional CFO.
Howard also served as CFO of Clifton Steel Company, where he led the efforts to divest two subsidiary companies, and created a plan to recapitalize the company, allowing the Company President to buy-out all family shareholders.
Prior to that, Howard served for 15 years as the CFO of Whirlaway Corporation, and industry leading precision machined component supplier. He worked with the senior leadership team to grow the business from $12 million to $80 million in annual sales, through both organic and acquisitive growth. Howard led the sale of the company to NN Corporation, a strategic acquirer, for $48 million.
Howard has also served in financial and operational roles at other organizations, including Kirtland Capital Corporation, Evarts Capital and Sudbury Inc., where he gained significant experience in strategic planning, budgeting, operational leadership, financial restructuring, and acquisition and divestiture transactions.
Howard lives in Solon, Ohio with his wife Nancy. They have five adult children living in Cleveland, New York City and Washington D.C. Howard has been active with the Cleveland Chapter of the Association for Corporate growth, and served as the Chapter President. He received the ACG Meritorious Service Award, for his efforts to create and launch the Deal Maker Awards, an annual event recognizing achievement in the area of M&A activity, which is now in its 22nd year.
Howard currently serves as Treasurer of the Board of Suburban Temple Kol Ami in Beachwood, Ohio. Howard is a graduate of Kent State University, and a past President of its National Alumni Board of Directors.
